S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and the Vancouver Granville Lions Club are hosting a charity concert gala to benefit seniors.
The Dickie Lam “Power of Love” charity concert gala is scheduled for Jan. 8, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. at Richmond’s River Rock Show Theatre (8811 River Rd.). Proceeds will fund new mechanical ceiling lifts to help seniors living in S.U.C.C.E.S.S.’s Simon K. Y. Lee Seniors Care Home in Vancouver.
Gala tickets start at $200 and are available by emailing lionannie@gmail.com or calling 778-893-9937. Donations can be made at bit.ly/3BM6DyZ.
The Simon K. Y. Lee Care Home was opened in 2001 and provides around-the-clock care to senior residents with complex care needs. As residents become frail, they must be moved using ceiling lift transfers. Currently, only 46 of the facility’s 114 rooms are equipped with these lifts, which cost approximately $10,000 each.
